The Seagull design home was built by Seascape Designs in 2014. The house has a very unique roof design with a series of curved roof lines to simulate the surrounding sand dunes, which are directly across the road. The aim of this build was to promote and encourage passive solar design and sustainable building practices in the Geraldton area.

The challenge put to builder David Pratt of Seascape designs was far from simple, build a home of my own design using the latest in sustainable building materials and appliances and maximise sun and wind orientation.
Throughout the process we worked closely with David even though we lived some 500Klms away. David sent us photos through the construction process and we conversed regularly by phone.
The result was a home that met all our expectations, was given an 8.5 star rating and is a totally green home with low maintenance, low energy, low water use and with solar panels fitted generates more power than the home uses.
It was a pleasure working with David and I would not hesitate to recommend Seascape designs to anyone who truly wants a sustainable home built to an exacting quality.
